I Want to Get Rid of My San Diego Chargers Tattoo

If you’re feeling betrayed by an NFL team that has left you for another city, come into Dermacare
Tattoos used to last forever, but modern advances in science mean you no longer have to hide that embarrassing San Diego Chargers tattoo.

PicoSure tattoo removal ensures evidence of that regretful decision can be removed and you can move on with your life and your loyalty to a new football team.

If you’re feeling betrayed by an NFL team that has left you for another city, come into Dermacare at either our Rancho Bernardo or Carlsbad location to erase your ink and your memory. Dr. Birchall and the experts at Dermacare are ready to give you a clean state and a fresh start for the football season.

How Does Tattoo Removal Work?

The advanced PicoSure laser is capable of breaking down even the most stubborn ink to remove tattoos that other removal methods could not effectively address in the past.

PicoSure fires laser pulses one trillionth of a second in length that break down ink into microscopic particles. The particles are then disposed of by the body’s circulatory and lymphatic systems and safely removed from the body.

Blue and green inks that have historically been difficult to remove are even managed adeptly by the PicoSure laser in most cases.

Sessions can be as short as 15 minutes but depend on the size of the tattoo being treated. A session of four to six treatments will be needed for complete erasure of the tattoo.

Appointments can be scheduled every six to eight weeks to ensure the skin has plenty of time to heal between treatments. Tattoo removal is a gradual process, but when you’re finally free of that Chargers tattoo, it will be well worth it.

Does It Hurt?

Pain during PicoSure treatments is minimal and can be further minimized with topical anesthetic upon request. Most patients relate it to being around the same pain level as receiving a tattoo, although the duration of the removal procedure is much shorter.

One thing is for sure, removing the tattoo won’t hurt worse than the betrayal you’re currently feeling about the desertion of your favorite football team.

What’s Recovery Like?

The targeted tattoo will scab over and may blister as a normal part of the healing process. It’s important to leave the scabs alone and let the body heal naturally to avoid scarring of the treatment area. Dr. Birchall will give you information on how to treat the tattoo after each session.

As a general rule, it’s important to keep the skin away from sun exposure if possible or use sunscreen if the tattoo is constantly exposed. Keeping the skin moisturized and hydrated also speeds up the healing process.

Following the procedure, no downtime is necessary. You can get right back to your daily activities and rest easy knowing you’re one step closer to freedom from your unwanted tat.
