EMSCULPT®: The First FDA-Approved Treatment to Build Muscle & Burn Fat

Are you tired of spending hours at the gym and eating healthy, but are still not able to meet your ultimate fitness goals?

Now, imagine doing 20,000 squats or sit-ups in one 30-minute session, without any effort. Do you think you’d be able to obtain that six-pack or toned buttocks then?

EMSCULPT® is a new, breakthrough treatment option that can do just that, helping patients to build muscle mass and burn fat simultaneously for a toned and athletic physique.

Keep reading to learn more about this treatment option, and what it can do for you.

What is EMSCULPT?

EMSCULPT is the only FDA-cleared energy device approved to burn fat and build muscle mass. In addition, it creates the world’s first non-invasive butt lift procedure.

EMSCULPT uses HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology to induce supramaximal muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions.

When exposed to these supramaximal contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt to such an extreme condition, remodeling its inner structure that results in muscle building and body contouring.

EMSCULPT tones muscle in the abdomen and buttocks region without pain, downtime, or spending hours in the gym.

This treatment has been clinically tested for safety and efficacy through seven independent US-based clinical studies. In fact, on average, the following results were achieved in clinical studies on healthy patients:

  • 19% reduction of fat
  • 4 cm (~1.5 inches) loss in waistline circumference
  • 16% increase in muscle mass
  • 11% reduction in abdominal muscle separation (called diastasis recti)
  • 5x increase in fat metabolism (apoptotic index increased from 19% to 92% after treatment)
  • 80% patients with visible lifting effect of buttocks
  • 96% patient satisfaction

Along with improving muscle tone and burning fat, EMSCULPT can also be used to help treat diastasis recti. Diastasis recti is a medical term that describes the separation of the abdominal muscles.

This most commonly occurs during pregnancy, as the belly increases in size to accommodate a growing baby, which can stretch the abdominal muscles. EMSCULPT offers the first non-surgical means of improving this condition.

Who is a Candidate?

Individuals who wish to improve the tone and shape of their stomach or buttocks can often benefit from EMSCULPT.

Ideal candidates will be individuals who work out but just can’t seem to reach a six-pack or obtain perky buttocks. Candidates should also be physically active and follow a healthy diet and lifestyle.

How Long Does Treatment Last?

One EMSCULPT treatment session usually takes 30 minutes to complete. Patients need a minimum of four sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart to see optimal results.

Your provider will help to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals.

What Does EMSCULPT Feel Like?

The EMSCULPT procedure feels like an intensive workout, so you will be a bit sore the next day. Thinner patients may feel EMSCULPT more, and decreased energies may be used during treatment. Patients can lay down and relax during their session.

Is There Downtime Involved?

Because the EMSCULPT procedure is non-invasive, it requires no recovery or downtime. Patients can begin to feel tangible results right after treatment.

Continued results are usually reported 2-4 weeks after the last session and continue to improve for several weeks following the treatments.

Are Results Permanent?

While fat cells destroyed by increased fat metabolism with EMSCULPT are permanent, weight gain can cause remaining cells to grow, leading to a possible change in the body.

Muscle mass is not permanent but can last for six months or longer. To help maintain muscle tone results, periodic EMSCULPT treatments are recommended.
