Wade Faerber DO, FAOAO is a fellowship trained sports medicine board-certified orthopedic surgeon based in Riverside, California. He has been in practice since 1992. Dr Faerber graduated from S.U.N.Y at Oneonta in 1982 with a BS majoring in Biology. He graduated Medical School from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of NYIT in June 1986, completed an Orthopedic Residency in June 1991 at Cuyahoga Falls Hospital/Ohio University and completed a one year Orthopedic/Sports Medicine fellowship at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Chicago, Illinois in July 1992. Dr Faerber has been in practice in Southern California since August 1992.

Serving as a Team Physician and Orthopedic Consultant for Cypress College 1992-2003. Dr Faerber also worked as the Team Physician for Temescal Canyon High School and Western High in Anaheim CA.
Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Western University. Co-Developed an Orthopedic Residency Program in conjunction with OPTI-West in 1998. He serves as the Program Director since 2000 and currently oversees 15 Orthopedic residents which help care for the underserved population of the Inland Empire. Clinical Instructor for Riverside CC/PA program. Developed and maintained an Orthopedic PA Fellowship program since 2005. Dr Faerber serves as the Orthopedics Department Chairman at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He is the past Chief of Staff of Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his teaching/mentoring activities, he has and is on the forefront of Orthopedic Sports Medicine/Shoulder/Knee cases in Riverside, CA. He is familiar with and performs various state-of-the-art (Carticel, Osteochondral Autograph and Allograph) procedures. In addition, he is one of the few Southern California Orthopaedists who regularly considers and uses minimally invasive resurfacing arthroplasty procedures (arthrosurface) for those individuals whose age and pathology would make them candidates to preserve as much of their joints as possible.
As a top Sports Medicine Orthopedist, Dr Faerber actually walks the walk. He is a former competitive wrestler. He has been a recreational triathlete since 1986 and continues to compete to this date. He’s an avid skier and snowboarder and routinely maintains a golfing index below 10.
From a national orthopedic standpoint, Dr Faerber serves as a board member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. He also serves as co-chair of the Orthopedic Educators Program.
His private practice currently is with the Arrowhead Orthopaedics based in Riverside, CA which is one of the largest and most respected orthopedic groups in Southern California.
In addition to his work in Southern California and on a national level, Dr Faerber routinely participates in mission trips to underserved countries, The Dominican Republic and Haiti. He has been active in this service work for the past 5 years on a yearly basis.
