I went to see Dr. Mazzoccoli with what I believed to be minor symptoms from a recent illness that left me with an uncomfortable and annoying feeling in my chest and a little short of breath. To my surprise Dr. Mazzoccoli called an ambulance right away to take me to the emergency room. After testing, it turns out that I had a 90% blockage in one of the main arteries to my heart which the cardiologist referred to as "The Widowmaker Artery". A stent was placed in this artery to allow for the free flow of blood to my heart. That blockage could have caused a massive heart attack or stroke at any time. Dr. Mazzoccoli's call for the ambulance literally saved my life.
