Dr. Bird graduated from McFarland High school, Wisconsin and received her Bachelors of Science at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She attended the University of Madison Medical School, Wisconsin, where she graduated in the top ten percentile of her class. She completed her Internship in General Surgery and Neurosurgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and completed her Urology residency and Chief Resident year at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where she was the first women in the history of the University of Iowa Department of Urology to received the In-service Urology Examination Award for the Highest Score Achieved. Dr. Bird joined the University of Miami and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami, Florida and later joined the University of Florida Department of Urology. Dr. Bird’s expertise parallels her published work in Kidney stones, prostate cancer, testosterone replacement, UTIs and other fields in Urology.
