Dr. Coffey graduated from Stanford University and then went on to earn his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After earning his degrees, Dr.Coffey completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital where he also served as Chief Resident, the first of many of his leadership positions. Dr. Coffey held the position of Chief of Otolaryngology at Bridgeport Hospital for 10 years, and as senior attending at both Bridgeport and St. Vincents Hospitals. A highly respected and published authority in his specialty, Dr. Coffey has been widely published in medical journals and is regularly honored as a œTop Docù in Connecticut Magazines annual peer review. When he is not helping patients, he enjoys swimming and backpacking with his five sons.
