Todd J. Frush, MD is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Motor City Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute. As an orthopedic sports medicine specialist, Dr. Frush cares for fractures & soft tissue injuries affecting the knee, elbow & shoulder in both adults and children. Dr Frush is actively involved with local sports teams, He also serves as team orthopedist for Hartland High School, where he spends time on the sidelines. He also provides orthopedic care for the student athletes at several other local high schools. He previously served as team physician for the NBA Detroit Pistons for 7 years.
Dr. Frush completed fellowship training under world renowned knee and sports surgeon, Dr. Frank Noyes at the Cincinnati SportsMedicine Research and Education Foundation. There, he completed extensive training in meniscal repair and transplantation, arthroscopic surgery of the knee, elbow and shoulder, complex ligament reconstruction, cartilage resurfacing and osteotomies.
He maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), American Medical Association (AMA), Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, NBA Team Physicians Association, and Michigan Orthopedic Society (MOS), where he is a board member.
As an orthopedic surgeon in Michigan, Dr. Frush is trained to diagnose and treat all types of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, including the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
