Bio
Dr. Suelane Do Ouro graduated from Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública before completing a residency in Anesthesiology at SUNY Health Science Center. She then completed a fellowship in Pain Management at SUNY Health Science Center.
For 13 years, Dr. Do Ouro was a pain specialist and anesthesiologist with the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Hospital. She also served as the associate director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program and as a clinical associate professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is board certified in anesthesiology and board eligible in pain medicine and has published case studies on the use of interventional modalities in the treatment of chronic pain.
Dr. Do Ouro specializes in the treatment of complex regional pain syndrome, cancer pain, and spinal and neuropathic pain. She has extensive experience in surgical pain interventions, including nerve stimulators and intrathecal pumps, but is also skilled in the careful administration and monitoring of pain medications.
Dr. Do Ouro is a native of Brazil and is fluent in several languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
