Dr. Scott L. Woodfield is currently a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a Diplomat of the National Board of Examiners, and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. He is also a member of the Medical Society of South Carolina.
Dr. Woodfield is a native of Washington, DC and New York City. He completed his undergraduate degree at Lehigh University before completing medical school at Albany Medical College in 1990. Dr. Woodfield completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Following his residency, Dr. Woodfield went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the George Washington University, and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Arizona Heart Institute and Columbia Medical Center in Phoenix. Shorty after completing his fellowship, he moved to Charleston, SC and has been living in Charleston for 19 years.
Dr. Woodfield’s interests are General and Interventional Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular Disease. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, skiing, and gardening.
