Dr. Scott A. deVilleneuve, MD, FACS, is a top-ranked general surgeon in McKinney, TX, providing patients at Surgical Associates of North Texas with the most advanced treatment options based on their specific needs. Dr. deVilleneuve is a native Texan, born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. After earning his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, Dr. deVilleneuve completed his medical degree at U.T. Southwestern Medical School followed by a surgical residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. He has been in private practice ever since. As a leading surgeon with experience in both minimally invasive and traditional surgical approaches, Dr. deVilleneuve works closely with each patient to ensure the most appropriate care for optimal results. He was recently named one of the Best Doctors in Collin County as a Laparoscopic Hernia Repair expert by D Magazine. In addition to treating patients at Surgical Associates of North Texas, Dr. deVilleneuve has operating privileges at Stonebridge Surgery Center, Methodist McKinney Hospital and Medical Center of Mckinney. He is a founding partner of Stonebridge Surgery Center and the President-elect of the Medical Executive Committee for Methodist McKinney Hospital. Dr. deVilleneuve is a native Texan, born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and lives in the Stonebridge Ranch community. In his spare time, Dr. deVilleneuve enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters. At home, he has become an expert in Disney Princesses, and is a regular attendee at prominent princess tea parties! He and his wife enjoy date nights at Jinbeh and he also helps with her pet-sitting business as an “official” dog walker, runner, and pooper-scooper.
