Dr. Sanjay Awasthi graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1986 before completing a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR from 1987 to 1989. He then completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at University of Texas Southwestern from 1989 to 1991.
Dr. Awasthi has one office in California where he specializes in Oncology and Diabetology.

Specializing in the treatment of diabetes, Dr. Awasthi cares for patients suffering from all types and stages of the disease such as types I and II, or gestational diabetes. Diabetologists work closely with diabetic patients to formulate a personalized, comprehensive plan that includes a diabetes-friendly diet and exercise regimen, in addition to any prescription medications or treatment procedures that are deemed necessary.
