Growing up in the Bronx in New York, I witnessed and experienced the effects of not having access to healthcare. I decided at an early age that I wanted to become a physician. As the daughter of an immigrant, I became the first person in my family to attend college and then went on to pursue a career in medicine.
After spending many years practicing emergency medicine, I have gravitated to urgent care where I enjoy spending time with and learning about my patients. I strive to provide everyone with the kind of compassionate care I would give to my own family.
In my spare time, I serve as a volunteer coordinator for Blessings in a Backpack, a national charity which provides food on the weekends for at children at risk of hunger. Additionally, I enjoy reading mysteries, spending time at the beach, and traveling with my husband and two daughters.
