"I was drawn to medicine by my desire to treat disease and ease suffering. As a kid, I have always liked to help out my neighbors by shoveling snow for them or walking their dogs. I also really like talking with my patients and getting to know them. Vision is a very precious sense and it is almost always the one thing people would not like to lose. The knowledge that I have helped a patient see or feel better, when a patient smiles and is grateful for the care received, and the internal satisfaction in knowing I have done a good job in helping someone achieve their best possible vision is extremely gratifying to me."
