Bio


Dr. Rebecca Samuels is a board certified Primary Care Physician specializing in Internal Medicine. As an Internist, she is focused on the health care needs adults of all ages.

Dr. Samuels received Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Biochemistry, and graduated cum laude, from the University of Maine in 2000. She earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME in 2006. She served her internship at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT in 2007. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University at McClaren Regional Medical Center in Pontiac, MI in 2009. During her residency she also conducted research on statin-induced myalgia.

Dr. Samuels’ expertise in genetics has led to the publication of scholarly articles in The Main Scholar, Human Molecular Biology, Transplantation. She has received various awards and recognitions, including the Zachary M. Longley award for community service, the Michael T. Vest scholarship for outstanding clinical performance, the Who’s Who in Osteopathy award, and the Kudos Award (a patient-nominated award for excellent care).

Dr. Samuels is affiliated with the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
