As one of the founding members of the Apple Valley Medical Center in Apple Valley, Minnesota, Peter Frederixon, MD, envisioned a practice that would meet any medical need. That same desire also drew him to family medicine. Dr. Frederixon received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and went to medical school at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He completed his residency at Hennepin County General Hospital (now Hennepin County Medical Center) in Minneapolis. Dr. Frederixon brings years of experience to the practice; he once served as the medical director for Apple Valley Medical Center. He also was a Dakota County coroner, medical director for Nursing Care Service Professionals, co-medical director for ALF Ambulance Service, and medical adviser to Dakota County Public Health Nursing Service. He is affiliated with a number of professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians and Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians. He is also well-recognized within the community and has received an appreciation award from the city of Apple Valley Fire Department and an appreciation award from PreferredOne Insurance Company. Dr. Frederixon was also the first recipient of the Community Action Council Board of Directors recognition program.
