Dr. Parikh is board certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. Born in Nadiad, India, he attended State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, where he earned undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Political Science and his medical degree. He completed his residency and fellowship programs at the University of California, Irvine, where he trained in General Surgery and Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery.
As a student at SUNY Dr. Parikh was a University Honors Scholar. In 1995 he received the Disparate Major Award for study of Biology and Political Science and was named a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa National Medical Honor Society. He received four Deans Letters of Commendation of Medical School and was a member of the Gibson Anatomical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.
In 2001 he received First Place in the Annual UC Irvine Head and Neck Surgery Research Symposium. He is also a widely respected presenter, author, and educator.
