Dr. Nathan B. Haile is a joint replacement and hip preservation specialist,who joined Texas Orthopedic Specialists in 2019. A Texas native, Dr.Haile attended Texas A&M University, where he was a football lettermanand a member of the storied 12th Man Kick-off Team. He earnedAcademic All-Big XII honors and graduated with Magna Cum Laudehonors. Following his undergraduate studies, he spent 2 years as a coachand high school teacher. He attended medical school at the University ofTexas Health Science Center-School of Medicine in San Antonio andgraduated as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honorsociety.Following medical school, he completed his residency training in orthopedicsurgery at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. During hisresidency, he was involved in research on hip replacement surgery andhip fracture surgery. He developed a deep interest in joint replacementand went on to obtain additional training through his fellowship in jointreplacement surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. As a partof his fellowship, he completed training in young adult hip preservationsurgery including peri-acetabular osteotomy under Dr. Christopher L.Peters.Dr. Haile is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeonsand the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Hailesubspecializes in revision joint replacement and hip preservation surgery,as well as primary joint replacement, including direct anterior hip replacement,total knee replacement, and partial knee replacement.
