After completing his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Michael Shohet was awarded a competitive fellowship grant in Cranial Base and Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Bern in Bern, Switzerland. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Shohet has completed several years of distinguished service as a member of the faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he was director of the Otolaryngology clinics. Dr. Shohet has also played a key leadership role in the rhinology, cranial base surgery, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery service at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Shohet performs the full range of facial plastic surgical procedures with special expertise in rhinoplasty as well as facial rejuvenative procedures.
With exceptional training and experience in advanced endoscopic and craniomaxillofacial approaches, Dr. Shohet can provide a minimally-invasive option for the management of complex inflammatory disorders of the sinonasal tract including medically- refractory chronic sinusitis and cranial base tumors.
