Bio
A Louisville native, Dr. Michael C. Nicoson specializes in conditions of the hand and wrist -- including sports/athletic injuries, fractures, nerve compression syndromes, advanced wrist surgery, peripheral nerve surgery and Dupuytren's contracture.
Dr Nicoson is the founding partner of Hand and Wrist of Louisville, PLLC where the focus is on providing the highest level of care in an individualized fashion.
His training background includes a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University in St Louis, followed by a clinical fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in Orthopaedic Hand and Microvascular Surgery.

Hand Surgery
A hand surgeon in Kentucky, Dr. Nicoson cares for injuries and complications of the hand, fingers, wrist, forearm, elbow and shoulder. Dr. Nicoson is specifically trained to diagnose each patient and determine whether or not surgical intervention is medically necessary, as surgery is usually seen as a last resort when other treatment methods have been exhausted. As a result, treatment can be surgical or non-surgical in nature.
