About Dr. Brown
Dr. Brown

Bio


Dr. Brown completed his residency in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He previously trained in Obstetrics for two years, and is well-versed in treating mental illness in pregnancy. He is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine. He has studied Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University, worked in neuroscience laboratories at Boston Univeristy and Drexel University College of Medicine, and studied Reproductive Biology at The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

While training at Johns Hopkins, it became clear that many people from outside Baltimore were traveling into the city to find excellent psychiatric care. Seeing this need, Dr. Brown started the Maryland Anxiety and Depression Treatment Center in Ellicott City to increase access to care in Howard County.

Dr. Brown specializies in treating mood disorders such as Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder, as well as Anxiety Disorders.
