Born and raised in New York, Dr. Beckenstein obtained his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed numerous fellowships and residencies around the country, including a plastic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and a fellowship in Atlanta at the Breast Reconstruction Foundation. Now in private practice in Birmingham, AL, Dr. Beckenstein specializes in procedures for the body and breasts.
