Dr. Mark Kawachi is an expert in robotic prostatectomy. Among his other achievements, Dr. Kawachi is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network panels for Prostate Cancer Early Detection and Treatment, which is helping shape the way prostate cancer is detected and cured worldwide.
He is an active member of the Southwest Oncology Group, helping to ensure that research is brought to the patient bedside as quickly as possible. He is a prior president of the prestigious Los Angeles Urological Society and is an active member of the regional Board of the American Urological Association.

Surgical Oncology
Surgical oncologists offer surgical treatment for patients suffering from a variety of cancers. The goal of a surgical oncologist is to stop the advancement of the disease through surgical intervention, sending the patient into remission.
