I chose to pursue medicine out of the desire to improve the quality of life for patients. I believe in honest, open communication between the patient and provider. I see myself as a guide for patients, to navigate through health care decisions and through the health care system. I believe in discussing all options, giving my recommendation but ultimately letting the patient decide what care is best for them. I rely on taking the proper amount of time to understand the patient and what drives them and their health care decisions.In my spare time, I enjoy running and participating in half marathons. I also love reading science fiction
