Bio
Dr. Luis Cenedese attended public schools in Brooklyn, NY. Valedictorian in junior high school and graduating at the top of his class at Lafayette High School he was awarded a scholarship to attend Columbia University's Columbia College.
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree in three years he was awarded a full scholarship and admission to the M.D. Ph.D. program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. It was there that his interest in plastic surgery began.
As a student rotating in the Kings County Hospital Plastic Surgery Service his exposure to major maxillfacial trauma, caring for burn victims at the Burn Center and reconstruction of congenital defects in children inspired him to compete for a position in the field of Plastic Surgery.

Plastic surgeons perform a wide variety of surgeries that can restore or correct the form and function of the human body, which can be either cosmetic or reconstructive in nature. Dr. Cenedese is able to correct abnormalities of the body that may be causing adverse health effects, or perform surgeries to correct malformations caused by birth defects, trauma, tumors or disease. He also performs elective surgeries, which patients undergo to improve the aesthetic appearance of a certain body part.
