My name is Lisa Gil & I am a physician & co-founder of Family First Medical Care. I grew up in Southern California in a town very much like Modesto. After college I took an opportunity for adventure and moved to the snowy Midwest where I graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in 1999.

I currently hold membership at the American Academy of Family Physicians, Stanislaus Medical Society and am a certified communications trainer and on the faculty of the Institute for Healthcare Communication. I have been working as a physician in Modesto for over 16 years and have worked out of both Doctors Medical Center & Memorial Medical Center. I am a board certified Family Medicine Physician and have always treated patients of all ages/genders with a focus on women's health & obstetrics.

After all these years, it still makes me smile every time I hear a baby's heart beat when I listen to a mommy's tummy. It is my mission to treat each patient with kindness & compassion while providing the highest quality medical care. As a woman in my 40's, I understand many of the complex challenges women face today and I truly enjoy partnering with my patients to promote optimum health & wellness of both body & spirit.
