Leah Mello, MD is a warm and compassionate women’s health specialist practicing at Hill Country OB/GYN in Austin, Texas. Originally from Oregon she couldn’t resist the sunshine and warm weather of Central Texas and wanted to raise her son’s as southern gentlemen. Dr. Mello’s education began at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Psychology and Biology in 2009. She studied medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, earning her MD in 2013. A residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, followed. Once she arrived in Texas, Dr. Mello began to consider it as an ideal place to raise a family and build her career. Dr. Mello is certified in BioTE® hormonal therapy, Votiva vaginal rejuvenation and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. She also loves working with expectant mothers and helping them make their dreams of motherhood come true. When not working with patients, you’ll find Dr. Mello exploring Austin with her husband and two sons. They’re excited to call the Hill Country home and make every effort to take advantage of the outdoor and cultural opportunities the area has to offer.
