Bio
Dr. Singerman completed his retinal training at the Wilmer Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has been a principal investigator in more than 125 multicenter clinical trials and is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He has authored over 300 publications. In 1977, Dr. Singerman founded the Macula Society and has continuously been re-elected to direct it since then.
Dr. Singerman was president of the Ohio and Cleveland Ophthalmological Societies. Among the numerous awards he has received are Lifetime Achievement Awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland. He has been recognized in Cleveland Magazine's "Best Doctors in America" list every year since 1998 and has been named 1 of the 10 best retina specialists in America by Ophthalmology Times.
