Laura (Katie) K. Kilmer, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been in practice since 2014. At North Texas OB/GYN in Plano, Texas, Dr. Kilmer provides complete gynecological and obstetric care to women from communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan region.
In addition to offering a full range of gynecological and obstetric services, including routine screenings and preventive care, birth control and family planning, and the diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic gynecological conditions, Dr. Kilmer specializes in providing osteoporosis screenings and treating bone disorders, including osteoporosis and osteopenia.
Dr. Kilmer obtained her undergraduate degree in physics, graduating with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. After completing her residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, she went on to become the chief resident physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
Dr. Kilmer is a mother of four beautiful children who enjoys volunteering at church, baking, gardening, and astronomy. She also plays the piano and speaks Spanish as a second language.
