Bio
Dr. Cassas is a sports medicine specialist with expertise in the non-operative care of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Much of his practice focuses on the care of recreational and endurance athletes such as runners, cyclists and triathletes. His interes ts also include sports-related concussion and sports performance/nutrition. After earning his medical degree from the University of Nevada, he complet ed a surgical internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and a residency in Family Medicine at St. Paul Medical Center. Dr. Cassas then completed a fellowship at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine.

Sports medicine physicians are trained to provide treatment and prevention plans for those participating in sports and related physical activities. Dr. Cassas is trained to treat complications such as muscle tears and strains, concussions, tendon and ligament damage, shin splints, sports hernias, fractures, and a variety of others. Treatments may include rehabilitation services, therapies and a variety of surgical operations, among others.
