Dr. Kyle A. Herron grew up in the small town of Metropolis, IL. His hometown has the distinction for being known as the “Home of Superman”. Growing up he knew he always wanted to become a surgeon. Throughout his studies his passion for medicine continued to flourish and grow. He completed his undergraduate studies at Murray State University graduating with high honors.
Dr. Herron earned a Doctorate of Medicine at Ross University. He performed his surgical residency training at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania where he was Chief Resident. During this time he decided that he wanted to further his surgical training in the hand and upper extremity. His fellowship training was completed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham under the tutelage of world renowned hand and upper extremity surgeon, Dr. Thomas R. Hunt III. While at UAB, he was trained in all facets of upper extremity surgery including microvascular surgery.
Dr. Herron has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques for carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, DeQuervains syndrome and lateral epicondylitis for tennis elbow. He is well versed in all hand, wrist and elbow pathology and treatments. Dr. Herron provides all options for patient care including conservative treatment prior to surgical intervention if indicated.
He has participated in a surgical mission trip to Honduras. In his spare time, Dr. Herron enjoys chess, travel, mountain biking and playing golf.
