Dr. Barnett is originally from Belleville and joined Lincoln Surgical Associates after he completed his surgical training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. He is on staff at both Memorial Hospital and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville and has held many leadership positions, serving currently as general surgery section chief at Memorial Hospital and on the board of directors at Memorial Hospital East. He is a partner of Lincoln Surgical Associates and serves on multiple other committees at both hospitals. While in private practice, Dr. Barnett has helped to educate young physicians and holds a clinical faculty position with Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Barnett is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and has earned multiple academic and surgical honors. Away from surgery, Dr. Barnett is a husband and father to three children and has many interests including golf and volunteering his time at Camp Kanakuk.
