Dr. Kevin L. Carr, MD FACP is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician who has specialized training and certification in male and female Hormone Replacement, Cosmetic and Procedural Medicine, Medical Weight Loss, Internal Medicine, and Hospital Medicine.
After a 4-year tour as a US Marine, Dr. Carr graduated magna cum laude with High Honors from Howard University where he was active in bio-molecular research. He completed his medical training at the University of Chicago and Yale University in 2003.
He is the former Medical Director of a busy clinic in Baltimore City where he served for 6 years in the National Health Service Corps—providing medical care to the underserved. He has won numerous awards in the practice of Medicine and has a bedside manner that puts patients at ease.
As the founder of Carr Medical Specialties, Dr. Carr offers services with the view that clients are whole beings—offering a full range of services including Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, male and female hormone replacement, cosmetic fillers and Botox, Cosmetic Lasers and rapid Medical Weight Loss. Pioneering new medical approaches, many of our clients can be seen in the clinic, at home, or by video with their smart phone or computer.
Dr. Carr lives in Lutherville with his wife Elizabeth and their 4 children. He is an active supporter of the Arts and Theater in Baltimore.
The specialty of internal medicine is an area of primary care for adults. Dr. Carr specializes in diagnosing and treating cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organ systems. When necessary, Dr. Carr also can refer patients to specialists. For example, patients with serious gastrointestinal issues may be referred to a gastroenterologist for additional diagnostic tests or treatment options.
