Dr Kevin Huoh is a board-certified CHOC Children's Specialist in pediatric otolaryngology- head and neck surgery. Dr. Huoh completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics. During fellowship, He was awarded the Seymour Cohen Prize from the American Broncho-Esophagological Association for his research in pediatric airway management.
Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Huoh graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC), obtaining a B.S. in Psychobiology and a minor in Art History. He was Valedictorian of the university and also graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Huoh then obtained his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Huoh then pursued residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at UCSF.
During his residency, he earned many honors for his research in otolaryngology including twice winning the prestigious Triological Society Western Section Shirley Baron Resident Research Award for his work with pediatric thyroglossal duct cysts and salivary stones. As a graduating chief resident, Dr. Huoh was presented with the UCSF Kelvin C. Lee Resident Award for his meritorious service and dedication to the specialty of otolaryngology.
After having been born with a large neck mass, Dr. Huoh had multiple surgeries as a child by pediatric otolaryngologists. This personal experience has motivated Dr. Huoh to pursue a career dedicated to the comprehensive and compassionate care of children with head and neck disorders. His professional interests include congenital and acquired head and neck tumors, thyroid nodules and cancer, vascular malformations, surgical therapy of sleep apnea, endoscopic airway management, and otologic surgery.
When not at work, Dr. Huoh enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid sports fan and loves his hometown teams including the Dodgers, Lakers, and USC Trojan football. Dr. Huoh speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
As an ear, nose & throat specialist, otolaryngologist Dr. Kevin Huoh offers medical and surgical care for patients suffering from complications, diseases and disorders of the head and neck – including the ears, nose and throat. Dr. Huoh may treat a variety of disorders that affect upper-airway breathing, speech, swallowing, and balance and hearing, among other functions.
