Dr. Karny Jacoby joined WUA in February 2019 after starting and growing Urology Northwest of Mountlake Terrace in 1992. She completed both her undergraduate and medical degrees at UW, and Urology residency at University of Texas, San Antonio in 1992.
From the beginning of her private practice career, Dr. Jacoby has been an advocate for women’s health and specifically for caring for women’s unique urological needs. She became board certified in Urology in 1994 and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in 2013. She prefers to focus on women and men with neurologic disorders, incontinence, pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis, UTI’s, and on women with female pelvic organ prolapse. She also treats common urological conditions such as stones and bladder cancer. She is an expert in the MonaLisa Laser, bringing the technology to the Pacific Northwest in December of 2014. She has successfully treated hundreds of women.
Dr. Jacoby enjoys collaborating with other pelvic health care providers such as physical therapists, urogynecologist and colorectal surgeons. Since establishing herself in practice she has distinguished herself by earning the Seattle TOP Docs award in 2016 and 2017 and the Seattle Met Magazine TOP Docs award in 2014 and 2015.
Dr. Jacoby performs clinical research, participating in over 130 trials over the past 20 years. She has authored multiple publications and even a video abstract over the years, mostly in the area of Female Urology, neurogenic bladder and prolapse.
During her free time, Dr. Jacoby is very active in CrossFit and skiing. She volunteers in her boys’ school and attends their football and rugby games, and track meets.
