Julian Falla, MD, joined the HCM Medical Group team in 2016. He speaks English and Spanish, and he sees patients at the HCM Medical Group office in Fredericksburg.

As an internal medicine specialist, also called an internist, Dr. Falla provides care for adult patients including diagnosis, treatment and management. He also focuses on chronic disease management for conditions like hypertension, diabetes and heart disease.

Dr. Falla earned his medical degree from the National University of Colombia in 2001. While attending medical school, he spent his internship year at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Pitalito, Colombia and at the Carlos Lleras R. Clinic at La Misericordia Hospital and Materno-lnfantil Institute (Mercy Hospital and Maternal and Child Institute) in Bogotá, Colombia from 2000 to 2001.

From 2001 to 2005 Dr. Falla served as a physician at a regional hospital and several outpatient clinics in Colombia.

In 2005 he relocated to the U.S. to pursue advanced studies in English. From 2005-2008 Dr. Falla worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he served in various research and patient care capacities.

Dr. Falla completed an internal medicine residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut from 2008 to 2011. He then served as an internal medicine physician in an underserved area of Connecticut for five years.
