Care Philosophy
I take care of people in pain. I am motivated to help my patients, to give them a better experience than others they have encountered, and to give them more relief and functionality than they had before they met me. There is a lot of emotion tied up with chronic pain: depression, anxiety, and guilt over not being able to fulfill their responsibilities. My patients tell me that I am a good listener; often, I am the first doctor who believed them when they said they were in severe pain.
Pain management doctors specialize in caring for patients who are dealing with chronic pain, whether resulting from injury, disease, or otherwise. Dr. Greenspan creates customized pain management plans for patients that may include therapy, medication management, or minimally invasive procedures. When creating a customized pain management plan, Dr. Greenspan will evaluate the patient and their medical history, in addition to performing tests to arrive at a precise diagnosis.
As an anesthesiologist in Portsmouth, NH, Dr. Greenspan ensures patients are free of pain before (pre-op), during, and after (post-op) a surgical procedure. By administering anesthesia, Dr. Greenspan ensures that patients do not feel the pain of a surgical procedure.
