Dr. Julio Perez-Fontan graduated from University of Santiago de Compostela Medical School in 1977 before completing a residency in Pediatrics at Universidad Autonoma De Barcelona Facultad de Medicina in 1981. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at University of California at San Francisco in 1985.

Critical care pediatricians treat children suffering from life-threatening diseases. Dr. Perez-Fontan is charged with providing around-the-clock monitoring and intensive care for children who have experienced trauma or disease, landing them in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital. He is trained to stabilize, diagnose, and manage the injuries or conditions in children of all ages – from newborns to adolescents.
