Bio
Dr. Schartman received his BA degree Summa Cum Laude from Greensboro College in North Carolina and his MD degree from the University of Maryland. He also obtained a Master of Music degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., prior to starting medical school. His ophthalmology residency was at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis was with Albany Medical College and Hospital.
Dr. Schartman has expertise in the full range of medical and surgical retina diseases, and his particular interests include retinal surgery, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and posterior uveitis.

As an ophthalmologist in OH, Dr. Jerome Schartman is trained to diagnose, treat, and manage diseases or trauma of the eye. Dr. Schartman may treat conditions such as glaucoma, corneal tumors, cataracts, retinal disorders, conjunctivitis, astigmatism and ocular tumors.
