Dr. Jeffrey Petersen is board certified in Family Medicine. A native of southern California, he has trained throughout the United States and the world. He attended Cal Poly Pomona and Asbury College as an undergraduate. Deciding to learn about alternative medicine he obtained an additional doctorate degree from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995.

He subsequently entered medical school at the American University of the Caribbean which included studying a year in London. Upon returning to the United States, he completed a Family Medicine residency program at Eastern Maine Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. He is highly involved in the Fallbrook community and was previously Chief of Staff at Fallbrook Hospital.

Dr. Petersen is a board member of the Fallbrook Pregnancy Resource Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and both the Christian Medical and Chiropractic Associations.
