Dr. Makim may issue scans and tests to arrive at the proper diagnosis, which is paramount when creating a personalized treatment plan. Treatments offered by neurologists may include medication management, multiple therapies, or lifestyle changes, among others.

Pediatric neurologists provide care for disorders of the nervous system in children. When diagnosing patients, Dr. Makim may perform procedures such as PET scans, EMG or EEG tests or nerve conduction velocity tests, among others.
