Bio
Dr. Andersen’s practice focuses on reconstructive surgery after treatment of cancers of the breast, head and neck, extremity and torso. Working with the nationally recognized team of oncologic surgeons at City of Hope, Dr. Andersen has been able to dramatically enhance the quality and durability of the reconstructed breast by utilizing tissue-sparing techniques combined with transplantation of a patient’s own tissue to form a new breast after mastectomy. This combination of procedures has been perfected at City of Hope to allow certain patients to obtain a result with a minimum of visible scarring.

Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgeons perform a wide variety of surgeries that can restore or correct the form and function of the human body, which can be either cosmetic or reconstructive in nature. Dr. Andersen is able to correct abnormalities of the body that may be causing adverse health effects, or perform surgeries to correct malformations caused by birth defects, trauma, tumors or disease. He also performs elective surgeries, which patients undergo to improve the aesthetic appearance of a certain body part.
