Dr. James Smith graduated from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) in 1983 before completing a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX from 1984 to 1988. He then completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine from 1988 to 1989.

Dr. Smith has one office in Texas where he specializes in Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
