Dr. Dela Merced is a highly educated and experienced OB/GYN. She provides treatment and services for menopause, STD testing, and well-woman care exams as well as minimally invasive surgeries, STD testing, birth control options and popular techniques such as MonaLisa Touch and Sculpsure at Lizellen La Follette, MD, Inc. in Greenbrae, California.

Dr. Dela Merced received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Southern California (WMMC), caring for the mostly underserved Hispanic female population of East Los Angeles. Dr. Dela Merced was the only student from her eighth-grade class at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School to be accepted into St. Ignatius High School. She pursued a degree in Physiologic Science from UCLA where she was a charter member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and was named to the Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society. She took a year off after graduation to teach for Princeton Review. During that year, she gained some surgical skills as well as an assistant for Dr. Rosanelli, a surgeon in San Francisco.

Dr. Dela Merced grew up South San Francisco, California. Her mother was a nurse who worked days as a visiting nurse and nights in the recovery room at San Francisco General. Her father was an orderly at Laguna Honda Hospital. She credits both of her parents for stressing education, and for instilling in her not only an interest in the art of healing—but an interest in ‘the arts’ overall. Today, when she is not helping her many patients, she finds great joy in visiting museums, going to the ballet, and/or listening to symphonies. In her spare time, Dr. Dela Merced loves to create handmade greeting cards and decorations—she even has her own crafting blog.  Among her goals, this year is to run 12 half marathons in 12 months. She is halfway to her goal. An avid traveler, she and her husband travel whenever possible and take photographs of their adventures.
