Simply put, there really isn’t much that Dr. Hill hasn’t seen or done when it comes to pediatric health care!         

For more than 20 years, Dr. Hill has been considered a maverick in the world of children's health care. He began his career in medicine by attending medical and graduate school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After completing both  his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, he moved to Houston, Texas  where he completed his Residency training with the Baylor College of Medicine at the  largest children’s hospital in the world – Texas Children’s Hospital.          

From the small town of Columbus, Texas where he started the first pediatric medical practice in the history of the county, to Anderson, South Carolina where he helped establish the Pediatric Hospitalist program for AnMed Health, to the Greenville Health System where he was one of the founders of  the Pediatric Rapid Access clinic and, most recently, the Greenville Pediatric Health Center, Dr. Hill has been enmeshed in all aspects of pediatric health care.      

After spending seven years with the Greenville Health System, Dr. Hill became frustrated with the impersonal corporate approach to health care. He decided that it was time to go back to practicing medicine the way it used to be, with the focus on the personal relationship between the patient and the doctor. So in September 2016, he struck out on his own again and started Gold Standard Pediatrics, LLC in order to get back to the basics of providing personalized high quality medical care for children.​
