Bio


Ivan D. Rovner, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with 40 years of experience in the field. Having joined North Texas OB/GYN in 1977, Dr. Rovner is proud to continue meeting the healthcare needs of women in Plano, Texas, and the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.

Dr. Rovner provides a full scope of gynecological and obstetric services to adults as well as adolescents, specializing in obstetric and gynecological surgery, prenatal care, high-risk pregnancies, and the treatment of chronic conditions, including endometriosis and uterine fibroids. He also offers routine preventive health care for women, including Pap smears and osteoporosis screenings.   

Dr. Rovner is affiliated with Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, as well as Medical Center Plano, where he’s delivered more than 7,000 babies.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Dr. Rovner went on to complete his residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He’s a member of the Texas Medical Association and has served as chief of gynecology at Richardson Medical Center, as well as chief of obstetrics at Medical Center Plano. Dr. Rovner served as an assistant clinical professor at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He's a past president of the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society.   

Dr. Rovner likes to say that he's a Texan by choice. When he’s not in the office, his four children keep him busy with their active lives.

He's currently accepting new patients.
