KnowledgeableAfter 20 years, I will be switching doctors due to the UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR of Dr. Buterman's office staff and LACK OF RESPONSIVENESS by both Dr. Buterman and his staff. Both the way the practice is managed and the quality of the office staff (or lack thereof) make me feel like I am at a clinic vs. an Upper East Side Park Avenue practice. In the last three weeks, I have had to call for test results over 20 times because the office/doctor does not return calls, the office staff hangs up on me, and/or I am yelled at and told they are "too busy to look for my results in the pile that is building up on the fax machine." Just today, after leaving a message and calling over 5 times for follow-up test results, I was promised someone would call before the office closed for the long weekend. NO ONE CALLED, and I will now have to wait until Tuesday to begin the process again of begging for my own test results. It is DISGUSTING to withhold test results from nervous patients and RISKY to not review/communicate results in a timely manner. Further, Dr. Buterman has NOT BEEN HELPFUL OR SUPPORTIVE. Not only is he hiring poor quality staff, but from what I am told, he is frequently out of the office - either on vacation or leaves early - so no one is available to actually review my test results. At this point, IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS, I STILL HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM DR. BUTERMAN explaining my test results.
Yes, Dr. Irving Buterman is accepting new patients at this office.
