Heather Aguirre, DO, MS, practices comprehensive family medicine at Austin Primary Care Physicians in Austin, Texas. As a family medicine specialist, Dr. Aguirre is trained in women's health, adolescent medicine, mental health issues, and internal medicine.

Dr. Aguirre has also received additional training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. She is skilled at managing complex diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and heart failure. She also provides routine health maintenance and preventive health services.

Dr. Heather Aguirre earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed her family medicine residency at Christus Spohn Family Medicine Residency Program in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she also functioned as Chief Resident.

She is currently active in medical health policy, where she represents the needs of her patients at the legislative level as a board member of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. She is also a participating member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Aguirre enjoys women’s Bible studies, weight training, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her pets. She is a native of Laredo, Texas, and is fluent in Spanish.
