Dr. Gordon Marshall is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon, well-versed in a broad range of orthopedic treatments and procedures. He currently serves patients at Greater Austin Orthopaedics’ Southwest Medical Village and Lockhart offices. His forte is the surgical correction of the cervical and lumbar spine for both degenerative and acute conditions. Dr. Marshall is a firm believer that listening plays a vital role in successful diagnosis and treatment. By paying careful attention to his patients’ history, as well as their goals for the future, Dr. Marshall is better able to pinpoint the root of the problem and recommend the best course of action. Dr. Marshall has extensive experience in cutting-edge surgical techniques, including those he learned while training in Paris with some of Europe's top spine experts. He also has considerable experience with hip and knee surgery, including procedures such as ligament reconstruction, cartilage cell transplants, and total joint replacements. Dr. Marshall is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. He then attended medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans and completed his residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He’s certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Orthopaedic Association.
