Dr. Gary Giangola graduated from NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Giangola completed a residency in General Surgery at NYU from 1980 to 1985. He then completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at NYU from 1985 to 1986. Dr. Giangola has two offices in New York.
Specializing in the field of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Giangola is prepared to evaluate and provide surgical treatment for complications and diseases of the blood vessels, including traditional open surgeries or endovascular surgical techniques. Dr. Giangola is able to perform a variety of treatments, including the removal of plaque from arteries and performing bypass surgery. He performs a variety of surgical treatments to treat aneurysms and prevent strokes. Stroke preventive surgery is most often done under local anesthesia. For patients with non-healing wounds he is able to achieve wound healing with a variety of techniques, which includes improving blood flow. Dr. Giangola also performs laser and RFA vein treatments in addition to sclerotherapy.
