David L. Gould, MD, is a board-certified Urologist and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is director of Urologic and Reconstructive Genitourinary Surgery and is actively involved in urologic transplantation.
Dr. Gould has been practicing in both the academic and clinical setting for over 20 years. His other areas of interest/expertise include urologic oncology, trauma, stone disease, incontinence, and male health issues.
Dr. David Gould graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1988 before completing a residency in General Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn from 1988 to 1990.
Urologists are physicians trained to diagnose and treat the various disorders and diseases relating to the urinary tract in both men and women, also specializing in the reproductive system in males. Dr. Gould may diagnose and treat conditions like urinary tract infections, prostate cancer, kidney stones and incontinence, among others. Treatment options can be surgical or non-surgical in nature, depending upon the patient's specific diagnosis and medical history.
Transplant surgeons perform highly complex surgeries to transplant organs from a donor's body into that of the receiving patient. Surgeries are typically to replace a damaged or malfunctioning organ, such as the liver, kidneys and heart, among others. Dr. Gould may specialize in performing a certain type of transplant surgery.
